CATALAN PITCH AND PUTT REGULATIONS

(Approved by the Assembly of the Catalan Pitch and Putt Association (ACPP), 15 may 2002)

Pitch and Putt in Catalonia is a sport regulated by the norms mentioned in the following paragraphs.

These norms follow the recommendations of the European Pitch and Putt Association (EPPA).and have also been accepted by the Catalan Golf Federation (FCG) with which the ACPP has signed a collaboration agreement. The ACPP members and associates are obliged to follow them. Otherwise, a competition of Pitch and Putt will not be considered valid.

1. Pitch and Putt courses are required to have a minimum total length of 1.000 meters and a maximum of 1.600. Holes will have a minimum of 40 meters and a maximum of 120, always measured from tee to the center of the green. Nevertheless, for international competitions ACPP accepts the distances agreed upon by the EPPA members: holes from 40 to 90 meters and total maximum length of 1.200.

2. Players are allowed to tee off from an artificial surface and are entitled to use a tee if they decide to do so.

3. The number of clubs is limited to seven and the putter. For international competitions, the EPPA norm of three clubs (one of them the putter) is accepted.

4. As do other EPPA countries, the ACPP has its own handicap system. This system is the only one that may be used in competitions organised by courses associated with the ACPP.

5. Except for the norms on distances, number of clubs, teeing off surfaces and handicap system, the ACPP follows the Rules (and regulations for Amateur players) of the R&A Society of Saint Andrews. As far as other regulations are concerned, the ACPP will apply those of FCG and RFEG (“Green Book”) except when it has its own regulations.

6. The courses that are ACPP members or associates will observe the “Security Recommendations” issued by a joint Committee set up by the ACPP and the FCG in May 2000. They will be required to have all insurance and licenses as established by law.
